Mama Mia!
Eurovinil, an Italian manufacturer specialising in inflatable safety equipment for the marine sector, forms part of the Survitec Group global portfolio, and while the brands operate independently, they benefit from shared systems. Bringing Eurovinil onto the aligned platform supports both the brand’s primary Italian market and its wider international audience.
The Eurovinil website
As part of a structured digital rollout, bd2 has upgraded the main Survitec corporate website, launched Crewsaver and now delivered Eurovinil, the third Umbraco website completed for the group in under two years.
Each brand operates its own dedicated Umbraco CMS platform, allowing independence in structure and content management. However, all three sites have been built to consistent technical standards and are integrated with the group’s Perfion Product Information Management (PIM) system. This provides a centralised source of product data across the Survitec portfolio while allowing each brand to retain its own identity and market focus.
Eurovinil, an Italian manufacturer specialising in inflatable safety equipment for the marine sector, forms part of the wider Survitec portfolio, and while the brands operate independently, they benefit from shared systems and technical alignment. Bringing Eurovinil onto the aligned platform supports both the brand’s primary Italian market and its wider international audience.

A Multilingual Platform
Eurovinil has a strong domestic presence in Italy alongside a growing international reach, the new website has therefore been designed primarily for the Italian market while also supporting English and Spanish audiences. The multilingual setup has been implemented within a single Umbraco CMS instance, enabling content across all three languages to be managed centrally.
bd2 worked closely with both the Survitec and Eurovinil teams to coordinate translations, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency of tone across each language variant. The result is a site that works effectively for its core Italian audience while remaining clear and accessible for international users.

Shared PIM Integration
As with the Survitec corporate and Crewsaver platforms, the Eurovinil website is integrated with the group’s Perfion PIM system, implemented by Boyum IT. Product descriptions, technical specifications, certifications, downloads and imagery are all managed centrally within Perfion and delivered to the website via API.
This approach ensures product information remains consistent and up to date across the group’s digital estate, it also reduces duplication of effort and removes many of the version control challenges that can arise when multiple brand sites are involved.

Product Led Structure
The site follows a clear product led architecture aligned with the group’s wider digital standards, category pages provide structured overviews of product ranges, while individual product pages present detailed technical information, image galleries and downloadable resources in an accessible format.
Selected products also include an interactive image rotation feature, allowing users to view equipment from multiple angles and better understand key design details. Integration with the PIM ensures that any updates to product data are automatically reflected on the site, supporting efficient ongoing management for marketing and product teams.

Contact and Location Functionality
Alongside the product structure, the Eurovinil website includes an interactive mapped contact feature that enables users to quickly identify relevant service types by location and access the appropriate contact details. Users can easily navigate the map to find their nearest point of contact, service station or retailer, helping to streamline both pre-sales and support enquiries.

The functionality supports both domestic and international audiences and provides a clear, intuitive route for customers to connect with the correct Eurovinil team, improving overall usability and helping enquiries reach the right team more efficiently.

Continuing the Programme
The launch of Eurovinil marks the third Survitec Group website delivered by bd2 in under two years, and with Survitec Corporate, Crewsaver and now Eurovinil live on aligned Umbraco platforms and connected to the same PIM infrastructure, the group now has a consistent and scalable foundation for future brand development.
As with previous projects, close collaboration between bd2, the Survitec internal team and Boyum IT was central to the successful delivery of the site, ensuring that technical integration, multilingual content management and product data workflows were delivered smoothly and to schedule.
“Delivering the third Umbraco website for Survitec Group in under two years has been a significant achievement for everyone involved. Each brand has its own requirements and identity, so the focus has been on maintaining consistent technical standards while allowing flexibility at brand level.
With Eurovinil, the added complexity of managing three languages within a single CMS required close coordination between teams in the UK and Italy. The collaborative approach across Survitec, Eurovinil and our development team helped ensure the project was delivered smoothly and to schedule.”
Vicky Graty, Project Manager, bd2
“Technically, Eurovinil builds on the foundations established with the Survitec corporate upgrade and Crewsaver launch. Although each site runs on its own Umbraco platform, maintaining consistent development standards and integrating with the Perfion PIM has remained central to the delivery.
Ensuring reliable API driven product data across multiple brand sites, while supporting multilingual delivery, required careful planning and thorough testing. The result is a stable and scalable platform that supports both current needs and future growth.”
Stephen Pedder, Development Director, bd2
“The new website represents an important step forward for Eurovinil. Our primary market is Italy, but we also support international customers, so having a professionally managed multilingual platform was essential.
The integration with Perfion means our product information is accurate and consistent, and the new platform gives us greater flexibility to manage content and support our customers online.”
