We've blogged before about how effective video is in telling stories as it really brings those stories to life. This is especially relevant with project case studies and we've recently filmed a series of three for longstanding client Fiswal, who are commercial catering equipment specialists. As such, Fiswal have fitted out the kitchens and bars of these projects, but we've really tried to put their work in context and bring out the style of each venue and a sense of how their kitchens are a key part of service delivery. The videos show the journey from back to front of house and each include a simple reference to close from either the owner or chef about the benefits of using Fiswal.

Our first video is for 'Juniper', a new and sophisticated bar and kitchen located on the outskirts of Wigan. Juniper required a compact contemporary kitchen to meet the needs of their varied British menu. The venue is quite small so Fiswal had to design a kitchen that made good use of limited space.

In contrast the second kitchen, a Lebanese restaurant located in the heart of Liverpool called Bakchich, required a different brief. The restaurant has an open kitchen front allowing customers to witness the preparation of their Mediterranean cuisine. With state-of-the-art and specialist equipment, Fiswal has ensured the chefs demands are always met. Bakchich features a stylish and colourful front of house and Fiswal have successfully merged the required aesthetics with the unique practicalities of a Lebanese kitchen.

Finally San Lorenzo is a stunning Italian restaurant situated in Warrington town centre. With a functional yet classic Italian style, Fiswal have installed an open front kitchen with a large wood-burning pizza oven centre piece which provides a really eye-catching and stylish feature but is also functional.

To fully capture the essence of each kitchen video was a must. At bd2 we employ an in-house video service, with an agile approach so we can be there quickly to capture key moments. With video, the mood, style and overall feel of these working environments is captured perfectly. The video has been used on the clients website and as part of social media promotion.

Video allows the story to be told - bd2 captures the story.
